These Guest Wi-Fi Terms and Conditions apply when you connect to and use the guest Wi-Fi service provided at a venue, restaurant, branch, franchise location, event location, or other participating site using the InsightAI guest Wi-Fi and customer insight platform.
By using the guest Wi-Fi service, submitting your details, accepting these terms, or continuing to use the internet connection provided through this service, you agree to these Terms and Conditions and the Privacy Notice below. If you do not agree, you must not use the guest Wi-Fi service.
The guest Wi-Fi service may be provided, managed, supported, monitored, or processed by Plug and Play Solutions, InsightAI, the venue, the restaurant, the franchise owner, the branch owner, the brand owner, and selected service providers who assist with the Wi-Fi, hosting, database, reporting, security, analytics, customer insight, and marketing systems.
In these Terms, “we”, “us”, and “our” may refer to Plug and Play Solutions, InsightAI, the venue, the restaurant, the franchise, the brand, and/or their authorised service providers, depending on the context and the service being provided.
“You” or “user” means the person connecting to or using the guest Wi-Fi service.
The guest Wi-Fi service is provided to allow guests, customers, visitors, staff, contractors, or other authorised users to access the internet while visiting the venue or participating location.
The service may also be used to help the venue, restaurant, franchise, brand, and Plug and Play Solutions understand guest visits, improve customer experience, manage Wi-Fi access, prevent abuse, monitor network health, measure visit patterns, and send marketing communication where proper consent has been given.
When you connect to the guest Wi-Fi service or complete the Wi-Fi access form, we may collect and process the following information:
We do not intentionally collect special personal information such as race, religion, health information, political opinions, biometric information, or criminal record information through the standard guest Wi-Fi form.
We collect and process your information for the following purposes:
You agree to use the guest Wi-Fi service responsibly, lawfully, and in a way that does not harm the venue, the network, other users, or any third party.
You may not use the guest Wi-Fi service to:
We may suspend, block, disconnect, limit, or refuse access to any device or user if we believe the service is being abused, misused, attacked, overloaded, or used in a way that may create risk for the venue, other users, Plug and Play Solutions, InsightAI, or third parties.
The guest Wi-Fi service is provided on a reasonable-effort basis. We do not guarantee that the service will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, fast, error-free, or suitable for any specific purpose.
The service may be affected by internet provider issues, router problems, access point problems, signal strength, power failures, maintenance, network congestion, weather, building structure, device issues, or other technical matters outside our control.
We may apply time limits, data limits, speed limits, daily sign-in requirements, device limits, content filtering, security controls, session expiry, or other access controls at any time.
The guest Wi-Fi system may require you to sign in again each day. Even if your device remembers the Wi-Fi network name, the system may clear sessions, cookies, hotspot records, or access permissions at the end of the day or after a set period.
This means that returning users may need to complete the Wi-Fi access process again before receiving internet access on a new day or after a session expires.
Marketing consent is optional and separate from accepting these Wi-Fi Terms and Conditions. You do not have to give marketing consent to receive normal guest Wi-Fi access, unless a specific campaign or promotion clearly states different conditions.
If you give marketing consent, you agree that Plug and Play Solutions, InsightAI, the venue, the relevant restaurant, branch, franchise, brand owner, and approved marketing partners may use your personal information to send you marketing, promotional, loyalty, customer communication, competition, survey, offer, advertising, and customer insight related messages.
This may include communication by SMS, email, WhatsApp, phone call, online advertising audiences, social media audiences, or other electronic communication channels where allowed by law and based on the consent you selected.
Your information may be used to send you offers or messages based on information such as:
Approved partners may include the venue, restaurant, franchise owner, brand owner, marketing agencies, SMS providers, email providers, WhatsApp communication providers, hosting providers, analytics providers, customer relationship management providers, technical service providers, reporting providers, and other service providers who help operate the Wi-Fi, customer insight, reporting, and marketing system.
Your personal information will not be sold as a random public contact list. Any partner use of your information must relate to the venue, restaurant, franchise, brand, Wi-Fi service, customer insight system, marketing campaign, promotion, loyalty programme, customer communication, or connected services.
By giving marketing consent, you understand that your information may be grouped, filtered, segmented, or analysed to create marketing audiences and customer insight reports. For example, we may identify customers who visited a specific branch, customers who visited during a specific time, repeat visitors, customers who connected in a certain area, or customers who opted in to receive marketing.
You may withdraw marketing consent or opt out at any time by using the opt-out instructions included in a message, by contacting the venue, or by contacting Plug and Play Solutions where contact details are made available. After opting out, you may still receive non-marketing messages related to Wi-Fi access, security, system administration, legal notices, or service issues.
We process personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 4 of 2013 (“POPIA”), where applicable. POPIA requires responsible parties to process personal information lawfully, reasonably, and in a way that does not unnecessarily infringe privacy.
When we collect your personal information, we aim to make it clear what information is collected, why it is collected, who may receive it, whether it is required or optional, and what your rights are. POPIA includes notification requirements when collecting personal information from a data subject, and this page is intended to help provide that notice. :contentReference[oaicite:2]{index=2}
For direct marketing by electronic communication, we aim to follow POPIA section 69 and guidance issued by the Information Regulator. The Information Regulator’s direct marketing guidance explains compliance for direct marketing by unsolicited electronic communication under section 69 of POPIA. :contentReference[oaicite:3]{index=3}
We may process your information on one or more lawful grounds, depending on the situation, including:
Your information may be accessed, used, stored, or processed by Plug and Play Solutions, InsightAI, the venue, the relevant restaurant, branch, franchise, brand owner, and approved service providers where this is needed to provide guest Wi-Fi, manage access, maintain security, produce reports, understand customer visits, improve services, and send marketing where consent has been given.
We may share information with trusted service providers who help us operate the system. These may include hosting providers, database providers, IT support providers, Wi-Fi/network providers, SMS providers, email providers, WhatsApp communication providers, analytics providers, reporting providers, CRM providers, advertising platform providers, and other technical or marketing service providers.
These service providers may only process information for authorised purposes connected to the service they provide to us, the venue, the restaurant, the franchise, or the brand. They may not use the information for unrelated purposes unless you have separately agreed to it or the law allows it.
Where marketing consent has been given, your information may be used by the venue, restaurant, brand, franchise, Plug and Play Solutions, InsightAI, and approved marketing partners to send relevant offers, promotions, loyalty messages, customer surveys, competitions, and other commercial communication linked to the venue, brand, restaurant, or services you interacted with.
We may also disclose information where required by law, regulation, court order, law enforcement request, security investigation, fraud prevention process, or where necessary to protect our rights, the rights of the venue, the rights of other users, or the security of the Wi-Fi network.
We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect personal information against unauthorised access, loss, damage, misuse, alteration, or unlawful disclosure.
These steps may include password-protected systems, access controls, database security, server security, backups, HTTPS, firewall rules, role-based access, audit checks, and limiting access to people or service providers who need the information to perform their work.
No internet-connected system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. By using the guest Wi-Fi service, you understand that there are normal risks involved in using public or guest internet access.
We may keep your information for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in these Terms, including providing the Wi-Fi service, keeping customer insight history, reporting, marketing where consent was given, resolving disputes, preventing abuse, improving the service, complying with legal duties, and maintaining business records.
Wi-Fi access sessions, cookies, and hotspot access records may expire or be cleared more frequently, including daily. This does not necessarily mean that all customer records or visit history are deleted from the InsightAI dashboard or database.
Where information is no longer needed, we may delete it, anonymise it, aggregate it, or keep it in a form that no longer directly identifies you, unless the law requires us to keep it for longer.
Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to:
To exercise these rights, you may contact the venue, the restaurant, or Plug and Play Solutions using the contact details made available by the venue or in marketing messages.
You are responsible for the information you provide when using the guest Wi-Fi service. You must provide your own correct details and may not provide false details, someone else’s details, offensive names, fake names, object names, swear words, or misleading information.
You are also responsible for the activity carried out from your device while connected to the guest Wi-Fi service.
The guest Wi-Fi service is intended mainly for general venue visitors and customers. If you are a minor, you should only use the service with permission from a parent or guardian where required by law or by the venue’s rules.
We do not intentionally use the guest Wi-Fi form to collect children’s personal information for marketing without appropriate consent where required by law.
The guest Wi-Fi service may allow you to access websites, apps, platforms, or services operated by third parties. We do not control those third-party services and are not responsible for their content, privacy practices, security, availability, or terms.
You are responsible for reading and understanding the terms and privacy notices of any third-party websites or services you use.
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Plug and Play Solutions, InsightAI, the venue, restaurant, franchise, brand owner, and their service providers will not be liable for losses, damages, claims, costs, interruptions, data loss, security incidents, device issues, slow internet, unavailable internet, or other problems arising from your use of the guest Wi-Fi service, unless liability cannot legally be excluded.
You use the guest Wi-Fi service at your own risk. You should not use the guest Wi-Fi service for highly sensitive activity unless you take your own security precautions, such as using secure websites, strong passwords, trusted apps, and your own VPN where appropriate.
We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time to reflect changes in the Wi-Fi service, InsightAI platform, marketing features, legal requirements, security needs, or business operations.
The latest version of these Terms will apply when published on this page or made available through the guest Wi-Fi portal. Continued use of the guest Wi-Fi service after updates means you accept the updated Terms.
For questions about the Wi-Fi service, privacy, marketing consent, opt-outs, or personal information requests, please contact the venue where you connected or Plug and Play Solutions using the contact details made available by the venue, in marketing messages, or on the relevant website or communication channel.
If you receive marketing communication, you may use the opt-out or unsubscribe method provided in that message where available.
If you do not agree with these Terms and Conditions, please do not use the guest Wi-Fi service.
