Guest Wi-Fi Terms and Conditions and Privacy Notice

These Guest Wi-Fi Terms and Conditions and Privacy Notice apply when you use the guest Wi-Fi service provided at this venue. By connecting to the guest Wi-Fi and accepting these terms, you agree to use the Wi-Fi responsibly and you understand how your personal information may be collected and processed.

1. Information we collect

When you use the guest Wi-Fi, Plug and Play Solutions and/or the venue may collect and process the following information:

• Your first name and surname.
• Your contact number.
• Your email address.
• Your device MAC address.
• Your device IP address.
• The date and time you connect to the Wi-Fi.
• The venue, branch, router, or access point used to connect.
• Wi-Fi session information, such as connection time, disconnection time, session duration and data usage where available.
• Your consent choices, including whether you accepted these terms and whether you gave marketing consent.

2. Why we collect this information

Your information may be collected and processed for the following purposes:

• To provide you with access to the guest Wi-Fi service.
• To identify returning devices and improve the Wi-Fi experience.
• To help with support, troubleshooting, abuse prevention and network security.
• To keep records of Wi-Fi access and consent choices.
• To understand general customer visits and Wi-Fi usage at the venue.
• To comply with legal, security and operational requirements.
• To send marketing messages only where you have given separate marketing consent.

3. Guest Wi-Fi usage rules

You agree not to use the guest Wi-Fi for illegal, harmful, abusive or unsafe activities. This includes, but is not limited to, hacking, spreading malware, accessing illegal content, harassing others, sending spam, abusing the network, or doing anything that may damage the venue, Plug and Play Solutions, other users, or any third-party systems.

The guest Wi-Fi is provided as a convenience service. The venue and Plug and Play Solutions do not guarantee that the Wi-Fi will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

4. Marketing consent

Marketing consent is separate from accepting these Guest Wi-Fi Terms and Conditions. You do not have to agree to marketing in order to use the guest Wi-Fi.

If you tick the marketing consent box, you give consent for Plug and Play Solutions and/or the venue to use your personal information, including your name, surname, contact number, email address, visit information and related customer information, to send you direct marketing, promotions, specials, loyalty communication, customer updates and similar messages by SMS, email and WhatsApp.

You understand that this marketing consent is voluntary. You may withdraw your consent or opt out of marketing communication at any time by using the unsubscribe or opt-out method provided in the message, or by contacting the responsible party where contact details are provided.

5. POPIA privacy notice

Personal information will be processed in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013, where applicable. This means that personal information should be collected for a clear purpose, used in a responsible way, kept reasonably secure, and not kept for longer than necessary for the purpose it was collected for, unless there is a lawful reason to keep it longer.

By using the guest Wi-Fi and accepting these terms, you understand that your personal information may be processed for the purposes explained in this notice.

6. Sharing of information

Your information may be accessed or used by Plug and Play Solutions, the venue, approved service providers, technical support providers, hosting providers, communication providers and other parties where needed to provide the Wi-Fi service, manage the system, send approved communication, protect the network, or comply with legal obligations.

Your information will not be sold as a random contact list. Marketing use will depend on the consent choices you selected.

7. Storage and security

Reasonable technical and organisational measures should be used to protect your personal information against loss, misuse, unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration or destruction. However, no online or network system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

8. Your rights

You may have the right to request access to your personal information, request correction of incorrect information, object to certain processing, request deletion where allowed by law, or withdraw marketing consent.

9. Limitation of liability

The guest Wi-Fi is used at your own risk. Plug and Play Solutions and the venue will not be responsible for losses, damages, data loss, device issues, security incidents, service interruptions, or third-party actions arising from your use of the guest Wi-Fi, except where the law says otherwise.

10. Contact and opt-out

If you want to ask questions about your information, update your details, or withdraw marketing consent, you may contact the venue or Plug and Play Solutions using the contact details made available by the venue or in the marketing communication.
